Slater joins Brighton from Preston North End

Brighton and Hove Albion have confirmed the signing of Jacob Slater from Preston North End.
He joins on a three year deal and will link up with Albion’s under 21 squad after eight years in the Preston academy.
"He’s a talented young left-back who we’ve been aware of for quite a while now. We’re excited by the impact he can make in our under-21s squad, he is certainly someone who suits our style of play and our environment,” Brighton’s under 21 head coach Shannon Ruth said, speaking to the club’s website.
“He’s had some really good experience with the first team at Preston and we are looking forward to helping him continue his development and reach his full potential, we’re delighted to welcome him.”
The 18 year old signed his first professional deal with Preston in 2022 and made his Championship debut last season.
