Fabrice Hartmann returns to Sligo Rovers on loan from RB Leipzig
Sligo Rovers have confirmed the return of midfielder Fabrice Hartmann on loan for the next 11 months.
Hartmann was previously on loan at the Showgrounds for a similar spell.
But the 22-year-old has opted to return to the Bit O’ Red as John Russell seeks to turn the club’s fortunes around.
Hartmann has been out injured since May with a hamstring injury and will return in time for Rovers’ crunch tie against St Patrick’s Athletic next week.
“I’m delighted to bring Fabrice back to the club again,” Russell said. “He is a player of immense quality. I felt he was just getting into his stride before his injury so to have him back with us is exciting.
“He makes the difference in the final third with his ability to create chances and score goals.
“I’m sure our supporters will be excited by this news.”
Hartmann added: “I am really happy to extend my loan at Sligo Rovers.
“I want to thank the manager, John Russell for the trust that he’s given me.
“I’m looking forward to getting more minutes and helping the team as much as I can for the rest of the season and next.”
