Longford Town unveil signing of Charles Mutawe
Longford Town have confirmed the acquisition of former Drogheda United midfielder Charles Mutawe on a deal until the end of the season.
Mutawe, 22, was most recently on the books of Athlone Town and is a former teammate of current Town star Mohamed Boudiaf.
He previously played for St Patrick’s Athletic as a youth before joining Shelbourne.
And after that stint at Tolka Park he moved to Drogheda United.
While there he spent two years at United Park before joining Athlone Town ahead of the 2022 campaign.
Mutawe made over 20 appearances for Athlone during his stint there – and followed Adam Lennon out the exit door earlier this week.
Lennon however completed a switch to Treaty United.
Longford Town FC is delighted to announce the signing of Charles Mutawe to the club.
