Drogheda United have confirmed the loan signing of 24-year-old left-back Conor Kane from Shelbourne.

Kane will return to Drogheda for the remainder of the current season, having previously represented the club from 2017 to 2021.

During his prior stint with Drogheda United, Kane made a significant impact, logging 140 appearances and netting a single goal.

Before joining Drogheda in 2016, Kane was part of St. Patrick's Athletic's underage system.

His performance at Drogheda led to his inclusion in the PFAI First Division Team of the Year in 2020.

Originally hailing from Dublin, Kane's skills on the pitch have been recognised internationally. He has represented the Republic of Ireland at under-18 and under-19 levels, earning a total of five caps.
