Swindon Town signs Irish midfielder Liam Kinsella
Swindon Town have announce the signing of 27-year-old midfielder Liam Kinsella.
Kinsella spent his entire professional career with Walsall, where he became a well-known figure within the EFL.
He has clocked over 200 appearances across League One and Two and aims to continue this impressive run with Swindon Town for the 2023/24 season.
In addition to his domestic achievements, Kinsella represented the Republic of Ireland at the international youth level, featuring for both the U19s and U21s age groups from 2015 to 2018.
The midfielder has a track record of success, having won Walsall's Player of the Season award for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons.
Swindon Town is hopeful that Kinsella will replicate this winning form under manager Michael Flynn, who previously worked with Kinsella at Walsall.
Speaking to Swindon Town media, Kinsella expressed his excitement about the new move, stating, "I'm absolutely buzzing to get the deal done now, I've been training with the lads for the last couple of days and to get the deal sorted and done, I'm delighted to be here. Swindon's always up there, it's a massive club and I'm just really excited to get going, to be honest."
