Wycombe Wanderers have bolstered their squad with the signing of midfielder Freddie Potts from West Ham United on a season-long loan.

This acquisition makes Potts the ninth summer signing for manager Matt Bloomfield.

The promising 19-year-old midfielder recently returned from Australia, where he toured with West Ham’s first team.

Potts also featured in their victorious Europa Conference League campaign last season, making two appearances from the bench.

Speaking about the new signing, Bloomfield expressed his excitement: “We went along to watch West Ham train at the end of last season and Freddie was a player who stood out. We identified him as someone we’d love to bring in on loan, so I’m really pleased we’ve been able to make it happen."

He added: "It's great to bring in a young lad who’s highly thought of and has been around a first-team environment at a Premier League club."

"He plays with real energy and athleticism in the middle of the park and will really suit the way we want to play. I'm excited to see how he develops throughout the season with us."
