Coventry City secures Dutch right-back Milan van Ewijk in four-year deal
Coventry City has successfully signed right-back Milan van Ewijk from SC Heerenveen. Van Ewijk has committed to a four-year contract with the Sky Blues.
The 22-year-old Dutchman started his football journey in the Feyenoord academy, before moving on to play for Excelsior Maassluis.
During the 2018/19 season, van Ewijk made 36 appearances and netted two goals. His performances caught the attention of Eredivisie side ADO Den Haag, where he played 46 games and scored once.
In 2021, van Ewijk transitioned to SC Heerenveen, where he played 78 games and scored seven goals.
His contributions on the pitch haven't gone unnoticed on the international stage, as he has also made eight appearances for the Holland Under 21 side.
Coventry City's manager, Mark Robins, expressed his delight with the new signing, stating: “We are very pleased to welcome Milan to Coventry City. He is an exciting player who really fits in with the way we play at Coventry City."
