Birmingham announce signing of England under 21 international Buchanan

Birmingham City have announced the signing of England under 21 international Lee Buchanan from Werder Bremen.
The defender joins the Blues on a five year contract which will tie him to the club until 2028.
"I am really excited. I can't wait to get going,” Buchanan said, speaking to the club’s website.
“It is something that I wanted to do, come back to England and I think I have found the perfect club to go and perform and help the team.
"I would say I am fast, have a good left foot, good one-v-one defending, I like to get forward."
At just 22, Buchanan has made nearly 100 senior appearances having began his career at Derby County.
He signed for Werder Bremen in 2022 and was named Bundeliga Rookie of the Month in August of that year.
