Celtic confirm signing of Poland under 21 international
Glasgow Celtic have announced the signing of Poland under 21 international Maik Nawrocki from Legia Warsaw.
The defender has joined Brendan Rodgers side on a five year deal subject to international clearance.
“It’s great for me to have joined Celtic and I’m looking forward to meeting up with my new team-mates and start training with them,” Nawrocki said, speaking to the club’s website.
“Celtic are a famous club throughout the world and, of course, they’re very well-known in Poland, having had a number of Polish players in recent years, so I know just how big this club is and how incredible the supporters are, and I can’t wait to play in front of the fans and experience that for myself.”
Nawrocki began his career with Werder Bremen and had loan spells with Warta Poznan and Legia Warsaw before making a permanent move to Warsaw in 2022.
The defender helped Legia to both the Polish Cup and Polish Super Cup.
