After a goalless second half, Manchester United emerged victorious in a penalty shootout, winning 5-3. Both teams are due to continue their pre-season preparations with Arsenal facing Barcelona next and Manchester United taking on Wrexham.

Brentford levelled the game at 17 minutes with a close-range right-footed shot from Yoane Wissa, following a corner that was flicked on by Keane Lewis-Potter. However, Fulham regained the lead before the break, Bobby De Cordova-Reid sending a right-footed shot from outside the box into the bottom left corner at 36 minutes, assisted again by Reed.

In a exciting start to the second half, Carlos Vinicius extended Fulham's lead to 3-1 with a left-footed shot from the center of the box, only for Brentford's Kristoffer Ajer to respond immediately with a right-footed shot from the right side of the box. Despite Brentford's best efforts, Fulham held on to secure the victory.
