Bournemouth has successfully inked a deal with Milos Kerkez, a 19-year-old left-back and Hungary international.

The promising player has signed a long-term contract for an undisclosed fee, transferring from Dutch outfit AZ Alkmaar.

This acquisition marks Bournemouth's third of the summer, following Justin Kluivert from AS Roma and Romain Faivre from Lyon.

Despite attracting interest from several Champions League participating clubs, Kerkez opted for a move to the Cherries.

AFC Bournemouth Chief Executive Neill Blake shared his excitement about the signing: "We are delighted to announce the signing of Milos, a talented young player with a great deal of potential. He was being tracked by a number of clubs in Europe but was very keen to join us after hearing about our plans and ambitions for the future. An athletic and attacking full-back, Milos will be an excellent addition to our exciting squad and we are looking forward to working with him."

Born in Serbia, Kerkez honed his skills playing for ETO FC Győr in Hungary's second tier, where he established his international roots.

His talents led him to AC Milan's Primavera youth side in 2021, after being handpicked by the club's technical director, Paolo Maldini.

The young full-back later moved to AZ Alkmaar in January 2022, where he made a impact, making 52 appearances in all competitions in the last season.

He contributed five goals and seven assists, playing a role in leading the Dutch side to the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League.

Kerkez made his senior debut for Hungary at the age of 18, playing against Germany in a Nations League match in September 2022, which Hungary won 1-0.

Since then, he has started in Hungary's last three Euro qualifiers against Bulgaria, Montenegro, and Lithuania.
