Southampton sign academy prospects to first professional deals
Southampton have confirmed deals for two academy prospects, Jem Hewlett and Cam Bragg.
The pair have been with the Saints Academy long term and were part of their Under 18s Premier League South title winning side during the 2021/22 season.
"I'm delighted, I think it shows how much the club value me as a player and all the hard work I've put in,” Hewlett told the club’s official website.
"The dedication from myself and the coaches around me and my family has all paid off, but again the next thing is to keep pushing and make the most of the next two years and see where I can go."
Regarding his first professional contract Cam Bragg said, “I'm buzzing, I think when you're a young kid it's the thing you see so far in the distance but you don't realise how special it is until you come round to it.
"With some of the other boys who have signed as well, we spoke about it not long ago and realised this is the first massive step towards hopefully a long professional career at the highest level."
