Women’s FAI Cup first round 2023 fixtures announced

The Sports Direct Women’s FAI Cup First Round 2023 fixture details have been confirmed.

A total of seven matches will be played over the weekend of August 26 and 27. The reigning champions, Shelbourne, will not feature in this round, as they have received a bye to the second round.

On Saturday, August 26, 2023, the competition will commence with Terenure Rangers playing against Cork City at Richmond Park and Treaty United facing Peamount United at Markets Field. Both matches are scheduled to begin at 14:00.

Later in the day, DLR Waves will play against Wexford Youths at UCD Bowl at 16:00. Shamrock Rovers and Killester Donnycarney will follow at Tallaght Stadium, with their match scheduled for 17:30.

The last match for Saturday will see Athlone Town compete against Galway United at Athlone Town Stadium, kicking off at 19:00.

Two more matches will take place on Sunday, August 27, 2023. Cabinteely and Bohemians will meet at Carlisle Grounds, while Sligo Rovers will face Bonagee United at The Showgrounds. Both games are set to start at 14:00.
