Northern Ireland Striker Kyle Lafferty joins Johnstone Burgh
Johnstone Burgh has announced the signing of Northern Ireland's centre forward, Kyle Lafferty.
The 89-capped international player, with 20 goals to his name, has joined the Scottish club on a two-year contract, pending international clearance.
Lafferty's transition to Johnstone Burgh follows a split season where he played for Kilmarnock FC in the Scottish Professional Football League before moving to Linfield FC.
He is also had two stints at Rangers FC, during which he played in the UEFA Champions League and clinched the Scottish Premier League title.
Lafferty's illustrious career also includes playing for Hearts in Scotland and spells with Norwich, Sunderland, FC Sion, and Reggina.
The management of Johnstone Burgh FC expressed their enthusiasm about the new signing. The club's manager, Jamie McKim, spoke of his delight that Lafferty had chosen to join their ranks.
He said, "I'm delighted Kyle has chosen to join us, we met him several times, to try and sell the project to him and I'm delighted that he has bought into it. He will be huge on and off the pitch for us this season and I can't wait to see him in action with his teammates."
Johnstone Burgh, a football club based in Johnstone, Renfrewshire, competes in the West of Scotland League First Division.
