Union Berlin complete loan signing of Leeds United midfielder

Union Berlin have announced the signing of USA international Brenden Aaronson on loan from Leeds United for the 2023/24 season.

"Union's path and the success of the last few years did not go unnoticed in either the USA, Austria or England,” Aaronson said, speaking to Union Berlin’s website.

“Somehow, you always heard something about them. A year ago, I wouldn't have believed that I would be here and able to play in the Champions League with Union. I'm looking forward to the year ahead with joy and confidence and want to help us have another successful season." 

The American bean his senior career with Bethlehem Steel before playing in the MLS with Philadelphia Union.

He made the move to Europe in 2020 and spent two seasons with Red Bull Salzburg before signing for Leeds United ahead of the 2022/23 Premier League season.
