Ross County sign former Drogheda United player James Browne
Former Drogheda United defender James Brown has been unveiled by Ross County as their latest signing.
The 25-year-old makes the move to the Scottish Premierships side from Blackburn Rovers having joined the English side in January 2022.
“I am delighted to bring James Brown to the club. He has played in excess of 150 games and been a captain and a leader of the clubs he has been at. He brings a wealth of experience to the club and can operate in a number of positions on the right hand side,” Ross County manager Malky Mackay said, speaking to the club’s website.
“We have been monitoring him for some time, both in Ireland and in the English leagues, and we are delighted to be able to see what he can do in the SPFL.”
Browne began his career with Shelbourne before making the move to Drogheda United. While with Blackburn the defender has had spells with Stockport County and Doncaster Rovers.
