Bohemians have announced the addition of Polish right-back Bartlomiej Kukulowicz to their squad.

The 22-year-old has joined from Polish club Nieciecza after progressing through the youth system at Legia Warsaw. Kukulowicz has inked a deal with the Irish club until the end of 2024.

Subject to international clearance, the new signing is set to be included in tomorrow's matchday squad for the clash against Dundalk.

Upon the signing, Bohemians' manager Declan Devine expressed his excitement. “I am delighted to bring him to the club. He is a player who has been on our radar now for a number of months and we have kept a close eye on him," said Devine.

The manager believes Kukulowicz will fit perfectly into the Bohemians' style of play.

“We have been crying out for an out-and-out right-back and he ticks a lot of boxes for us in the way we want to play," he said.

Commenting on Kukulowicz's playing style, Devine described him as "an attack-minded right-back - he is very much on the front foot, and he has trained really well this week."

Devine also noted Kukulowicz's smooth integration into the team and hopes he can follow in the footsteps of his Polish teammates, Kacper Radkowski and Krystian Nowak.

“The two Polish lads we have here already - Kacper Radkowski and Krystian Nowak - know him well. Hopefully he can have a similar impact and settle in as quickly as they have," he added.

Devine and Director of Football Pat Fenlon, along with the coaching staff, are working diligently in this transfer window to strengthen the squad.

Devine emphasized that while every club is seeking new signings, the focus for Bohemians is to ensure that new recruits fit their environment and improve the team's performance.

“I don’t want players just to make up the numbers, I want us to strategically go after players that we need. If they are not available, I am not just signing players for the sake of it," Devine concluded, stressing that their recruitments need to align with the club's identity.
