Fleetwood Town has welcomed two new midfielders, Danny Mayor and Ryan Broom, into its ranks, both on two-year contracts.

The 32-year-old Mayor comes to Fleetwood Town from Plymouth Argyle, where he played a significant role in the team's promotion to the Championship last season.

His experience spans time with Preston North End, Sheffield Wednesday, and Bury FC, accumulating 492 appearances since his professional debut in 2008.

Mayor has secured promotion with two of his previous clubs: once with Bury in the 2014-15 season, and once with Argyle, propelling the team to a third-place finish in League Two.

Mayor’s individual contirbutions has not gone unnoticed; he was named the Football League Two Player of the Year in the 2014-15 season and was included in the PFA Team of the Year in the 2014-15, 2018-19, and 2019-20 seasons.

Ryan Broom, a 26-year-old midfielder from Cheltenham Town, will also be joining Fleetwood Town. Familiar with the expectations of League One, Broom has played with Bristol Rovers, Cheltenham Town, and Peterborough United.

The offensive-minded midfielder has scored 27 goals over nearly 200 appearances.

During the 2018-19 season, Broom had a standout spell at Cheltenham, making 48 appearances and claiming three awards, including Player of the Year, Norwegian Robins' Player of the Year, and Players' Player of the Year.

Both new signings will join the Fleetwood Town squad for their first day of pre-season training on Monday, with Mayor expected to be part of the team traveling to Waterford next week.
