Norwich City acquires goalkeeper Vicente Reyes from Atlanta United
Norwich City have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Vicente Reyes from Atlanta United. The 19-year-old, set to turn 20 in November, has secured a long-term deal at Carrow Road.
Originally from South Carolina, Reyes has been honing his skills at Atlanta United's academy since 2016, which he joined at the Under-13s level.
His hard work and dedication saw him rise through the ranks, playing for the club's second team in the MLS Next Pro and the USL Championship.
Reyes also had the opportunity to be named on the bench for Atlanta United's MLS fixture against Nashville.
On the international stage, the goalkeeper has turned out five times for Chile's Under-20s side, achieving two clean sheets.
Speaking about his transition to Norwich City, Reyes expressed his excitement and ambition.
He said, “It feels amazing, it’s a dream come true to come to England. I spoke to the ‘keeper coach (Ed Wootten) and said I want to take it day-by-day, and don’t get ahead of myself. I can’t wait to get started here.”
