Walsall announced that they have secured the return of Jack Earing, Taylor Allen, Joe Foulkes, and Marvellous Onabirekhanlen, all of whom have signed new contracts with the club for the upcoming 2023/24 season.

The club had offered the quartet new deals at the end of the previous season and they have now officially committed to their future at Poundland Bescot Stadium.

Jack Earing, a midfielder, had his season prematurely ended due to injury. However, despite his last appearance for the Saddlers dating back to New Year's Day, Earing is now back onboard with a short-term deal.

Taylor Allen, 23, who joined the Saddlers from Forest Green Rovers last summer, made a total of 29 appearances for the club in various competitions last season. He has signed a new deal that will keep him with the Saddlers for another year, with an option for an additional year.

Joe Foulkes, after spending a successful season on loan at Kidderminster Harriers, during which the team was promoted to the National League and he received the Young Player of the Season award, has returned to the Saddlers and inked a new deal.

Marvellous Onabirekhanlen, an 18-year-old who had a loan spell with Worcester City last season, has also signed his first professional contract with Walsall.

Head Coach Mat Sadler expressed his delight at retaining the services of the quartet, lauding their commitment to the club.

"I am really pleased to see the quartet stay with us for the upcoming season," he said. "Following successful conversations with them all, it’s great to see that they all had a desire to stay at the club."
