Upon obtaining league and FA clearance, along with visa approval, Miyoshi will officially join the club on July 1, under a two-year contract.

The footballer recently completed his term with Royal Antwerp, an experience marked by noteworthy achievements.

Miyoshi played in ten matches last season, aiding his team in clinching the coveted Belgian Pro League title. His time at Royal Antwerp also saw him partake in two victorious Belgian Cup campaigns.

Miyoshi's journey with Royal Antwerp started in August 2019, when he first joined the club on a loan deal.

A year later, his position was made permanent, leading to his participation in prestigious tournaments like the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League.

Before his European venture, Miyoshi crafted his skills in Japan, playing at Kawasaki Frontale and four other clubs in his homeland.

In an interview with BluesTV, Miyoshi shared his enthusiasm for his move to Birmingham City, citing the club's clear vision and their interest in him as key factors.

"Their desire to bring me on board was very apparent, and I felt a strong pull towards the club. The conversation with the [Head] Coach revealed a promising vision, which also included a beneficial role for me," stated Miyoshi.

Born and bred in Kawasaki, Miyoshi started his footballing journey at his local club in 2007.

After a successful stint with their youth teams for seven years, he made it to the first team, impressing in nearly one-third of the 51 matches with either a goal or an assist.

Besides, Miyoshi gained valuable experience during his loan periods at J. League U22, Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo, and Yokohama F. Marinos.

His performances didn't go unnoticed, leading to him earning a spot on the national team. The midfielder has collected five international caps since his debut in June 2019.
