Max Sanders joins the ranks of Leyton Orient
In a start to their summer transfer season, Leyton Orient has secured the signing of midfielder Max Sanders from Lincoln City.
The 24-year-old player, who recently completed his contract with Lincoln, has agreed to a two-year deal with the O's, taking him through to the end of the 2024/25 season.
Sanders brings considerable experience to Leyton Orient, having held a pivotal role in Lincoln City's midfield over the course of seventy-two appearances in two and a half seasons.
Prior to that, the player made his name in Brighton and Hove Albion's academy, where he rose through the ranks and even captained the under-23 side.
anders also had a successful loan spell with AFC Wimbledon during the 2019/20 season and represented England at the European U19 Championship in 2018.
Expressing his enthusiasm for joining Leyton Orient, Sanders said, "With the promotion last season, everyone is still buzzing. I've seen the stadium and spoke to the Gaffer a lot, so I'm really excited and I think that it will be a great move for me."
He also acknowledged the challenging journey ahead in League One but expressed his confidence in performing well, saying, "I've played the majority of my career in League One and I think that I've done well, so I can't wait to get going."
The club's Head Coach, Richie Wellens, gave a warm welcome to Sanders, praising his technical skills and footballing acumen. He also reassured fans about the club's ongoing recruitment efforts, explaining, "We have wanted to wait and be patient in making sure we get the right players in."
