Callum Elder, the Australian international, has signed a three-year contract with Derby County, following his departure from Hull City.

Set to officially join the Rams on 1st July, the 28-year-old left-back becomes the club's third acquisition of the summer after announcing Joe Ward and Josh Vickers.

Elder, having two League One titles to his name, with Hull City in 2020/21 and Wigan Athletic in 2017/18, will now look to leverage that experience in the upcoming 2023/24 Sky Bet League One season under Head Coach Paul Warne.

Starting his professional career at Leicester City in 2013, Elder took on several loan spells across the Football League, including stints with Mansfield Town, Peterborough United, Brentford, and Barnsley.

His most notable loan period was with Wigan Athletic in the 2017/18 season, where he contributed to their League One title victory.

Elder permanently joined Hull City in 2019, making 137 appearances across four seasons, and aiding their promotion from League One as champions in the 2020/21 campaign.

His time at Hull also earned him a spot in both the PFA and EFL League One Teams of the Season.

On the international stage, Elder has been capped once at senior level by Australia, debuting in a 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against China.
