While Greece and France won their Group B qualifiers on Friday night at the expense of Ireland and Gibraltar, what were the other results around Europe in the qualification process for EURO 2024?

Group C

England tonked Malta 4-0 in Valetta. Gareth Southgate’s men were 3-0 up at half-time through an OG, a goal from Trent Alexander-Arnold and a Harry Kane penalty.

The England captain and top goalscorer was withdrawn on the hour mark, along with Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford, and so was off the pitch when England got another penalty seven minutes from time.

Callum Wilson slotted this one home to wrap up his country’s third win from three and they are now six points clear of Ukraine, Italy and North Macedonia.

Ukraine came from 2-0 down away to North Macedonia to win 3-2 through three goals in the last half an hour of the game from Illia Zabarnyi, Yukhym Konoplya and Viktor Tsygankov (who scored seven minutes from time).

Group D

Türkiye top their group after a 3-2 away win against Latvia.

Twice they were pegged back having taken a 23rd minute lead through Abdulkerim Bardakci into half time.

After Eduards Emsis’ equaliser, the visitors went 2-1 up just after the hour mark through Cengiz Under.

It looked like Latvia were going to pick up their first point of the campaign in injury time, despite going down to ten men with Emsis’ red card in 83rd minute, when they equalised through Kristers Tobers.

However Irfan Kahveci got the winner five minutes into injury time.

Wales suffered an embarrassing 4-2 home defeat to Armenia. Having led through a tenth minute Daniel James goal, they were 3-1 down before Harry Wilson got them back into the game in the 72nd minute.

However, three minutes later Lucas Zelarrayan steered home a Ugochukvu Ivu pass for the final goal of the game.

Having played three games, Türkiye top the table, two points clear of Wales and Croatia (who have a game in hand).

Group H

Northern Ireland were undone by VAR in a 1-0 defeat in Denmark with Jonas Wind scoring the only goal of the game. It looked like Callum Marshall had scored an injury time equaliser only for VAR to chalk it off due to an offside.

Finland defeated Slovenia 2-0 while Kazakhstan won 3-0 away to San Marino.

Group I

Switzerland top their group after a 2-1 win away to Andorra.

Romania are second after a scoreless draw away to Kosovo while Israel are third winning 2-1 against Belarus. They scored two goals in the last five minutes plus injury time to grab the win.
