Paul Digby extends stay at Cambridge United with two-year deal
Cambridge United's midfielder, Paul Digby, has signed a new contract that will extend his stay at the club for another two years.
This deal will prolong his already impressive tally of 147 appearances over three seasons.
On renewing his contract, Digby expressed his enthusiasm about staying with the club.
“I feel like I am just getting started here,” he said.
“I am hungry for more success and feel like there is so much going right at the Club. It is important sometimes to realise what you have got instead of looking elsewhere. I am chomping at the bit. I just can’t wait to get back going. I feel like I have learned a lot in my three years here and now we have got to really kick on.”
Cambridge United's manager, Mark Bonner, celebrated Digby's commitment to the team.
“Paul’s leadership, character and robustness make him a vital part of the team,” Bonner commented.
"Having played in every league game last season, he epitomises the values by which we want to build our new team for this season. I am so happy he’s staying with us."
Bonner further highlighted the ongoing developmental opportunities for the players, stating, "The exciting thing with all players is that we can continue developing them and improving them and I’m looking forward to building on the progress Paul has made and seeing him continue to play an integral role in the future."
