New round of suspensions announced in SSE Airtricity Leagues
The SSE Airtricity Men's Premier and First Divisions are bracing for an impact due to numerous suspensions affecting several teams.
In the Premier Division, Richard Towell from Shamrock Rovers and Jake Mulraney from St. Patrick's Athletic have both been handed a suspension, each serving the remaining one game due to red cards.
Meanwhile, the First Division is grappling with a total of 13 player suspensions and two staff members sidelined.
Red cards have resulted in suspensions for Darragh Lynch (3 games) and Kyle O'Connor (2 games) from Longford Town, Gerard Shortt from Bray Wanderers (1 game), Vladi Velikin from Athlone Town (2 games), Cian Browne from Cobh Ramblers (2 games), Ethan Boyle from Wexford (2 games), all needing to serve their remaining games.
Accumulated yellow cards have also led to multiple suspensions with Nathan Gleeson, Leo Gaxha, and Kevin Williams of Kerry, Killian Brouder of Galway United, Jack Doherty of Cobh Ramblers, and Darragh Levingston and Dane Massey of Wexford and Bray Wanderers respectively, all sitting out one more game.
In addition, Wexford's staff member James Keddy and Longford Town's Stephen Henderson are each serving two-game suspensions following red card infractions.
