Chloe Mustaki signs a new two-year deal with Bristol City
Irish international Chloe Mustaki has extended her stay with Bristol City by signing a new two-year contract with the club.
Having joined the Robins last season, the 27-year-old was a key figure in the team, making 14 appearances and contributing significantly to the club's victorious Barclays Championship campaign.
The Head Coach of Bristol City, Lauren Smith, expressed her satisfaction at Mustaki's extended commitment to the club.
Smith noted, “We’re really pleased to have secured Chloe’s signature until 2025. She’s a talented player and brings some important experience that will be invaluable as we venture back into the Women’s Super League.”
Before making her mark in England, Mustaki's career began in her native Ireland with stints at Peamount United, DLR Waves, and Shelbourne.
Mustaki headed abroad for a season to play with France's Girondins de Bordeaux. She also played for Charlton Athletic in the Barclays Women’s Championship.
Recently, Mustaki represented the Republic of Ireland, helping the national squad secure a spot in the upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Elated at her contract extension, Mustaki expressed her enthusiasm and anticipation for the future.
She said, "I’m thrilled to have signed a new contract with Bristol City. The coaching and club set-up is brilliant and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience in my first year as a professional footballer."
"Last season was a dream in many ways, with good people and an exceptionally talented group. I know that Lauren and the staff will want to build on that in the WSL, which makes me incredibly excited for next year. I’m really looking forward to getting back!"
