The First Round of the Under-17 Mark Farren Cup came to a thrilling conclusion on Saturday with Klub Kildare, Derry City, CK United, Sligo Rovers, Wexford, Kerry, and Galway United all securing their passage to the next round.

Klub Kildare edged past Bohemians with a 2-1 victory, courtesy of goals from Ruairi Morgan and Conan Kruger.

Derry City outshone Longford Town in a 3-0 triumph, with Reece Monaghan netting two late goals and Callum Doherty adding another from the penalty spot.

CK United advanced with a convincing 4-1 victory over Limerick. The triumph was orchestrated by Troy Sinnott, Dylan Murphy, and a Ross Shields double.

Sligo Rovers registered an emphatic victory over Finn Harps, with Niall Kenny, Reuben Gillespie, Desmond Rejoice Yobouet, David Jonathan, Keelan Mullin, and Femi all making their mark on the scoresheet.

Wexford clinched a 3-1 away win over Drogheda United, thanks to Brandon Stafford, Ryan Scanlon, and Jan Wozniak, while Kerry edged past Cobh Ramblers with a decisive goal from Josh Bowler.

In the most nail-biting encounter of the day, Galway United and Bray Wanderers finished level at 4-4. Galway entered the half with a commanding 4-1 lead, with goals from Cillian Tollett, Dara Kavanagh, Donnacha Sammon, and Bray's Philip Cooney.

However, a remarkable second-half comeback from Bray, featuring goals from Alain Kizenga, Harry Sherlock, and a second from Cooney, led the game to penalties.

Despite their tenacious comeback, Bray fell short in the penalty shootout, losing 4-2, and seeing Galway progress to the next round.
