Irish Men's Under-16s to Compete in UEFA Development Tournament in Slovakia
The Republic of Ireland Men's Under-16s will head to Slovakia next week for a UEFA Development Tournament, marking the end of this year's MU16s season.
Head Coach Paul Osam has named a squad of 21 players, including seven newcomers to the MU16s.
Among the fresh faces receiving their first Ireland call-ups are Alfie Lynskey of Aston Villa, Chelsea's Harry McGlinchey, William Martin from Odense BK, Matteo Egan of Empoli, and Finn Harp's Oisin Cooney. Additionally, Shamrock Rovers' Brody Lee and St. Patrick's Athletic's Michael Noonan have been named in Osam's squad, following their outstanding performances for the Men's Under-15s in the Torneo della Nazioni tournament.
Ireland will kick off the tournament against Latvia on Wednesday, May 10, before facing Ukraine on Friday, May 12. The team will wrap up their matches by playing the host country, Slovakia, on Monday, May 15.
