Usher Celtic reach Leinster Senior Cup final after stunning win over Bray Wanderers
Bray Wanderers were shocked in the Leinster Senior Cup semi-final on Monday night as they slumped to a 4-1 defeat against Usher Celtic.
The Seagulls reached the last four of the competition thanks to previous round wins against New Oak Boys and Shamrock Rovers.
But their hopes of a first Leinster Senior Cup crown ground to a halt at the Carlisle Grounds.
Calvin Douglas opened the scoring for Usher in the first minute of the game, but the Seagulls levelled just before the break via Gerard Shortt.
However, parity did not last long as Zach Donohue turned into his own net as the Leinster Senior League side went in one clear at half-time.
Wayne Walker then put Usher 3-1 ahead in the 52nd minute, while Douglas rounded off the rout as he netted in the 60th minute.
The win means that Usher have defeated Malahide United, Drogheda United and Bray on their run to the final.
They will face one of Wexford, Shelbourne or Bohemians in the decider.
