League Preview: Cobh Ramblers -v- Bray Wanderers

COBH RAMBLERS

Cobh Ramblers host Bray Wanderers at St Colman’s Park on Friday night (kick-off is at 7.45pm).

The Rams come into Friday night’s game off the back of an entertaining 2-2 draw away to Finn Harps last week.

But they will be keen to right the wrongs of their last home performance that saw them crumble to a 2-0 loss at home to league leaders Galway United.

“We’re determined to give a better account of ourselves than our last home game against Galway,” boss Shane Keegan said.

“That was our poorest display of the season to date.

“Galway are a strong side and they don’t make it easy but we were disappointed with ourselves in front of such a good crowd that night.

“Bray is another very difficult one. I’d be amazed if they don’t finish in the top three this season. It’s up to us to give a performance and see if that gives us the points.”

The Rams have reported no injuries for Friday night’s game.

BRAY WANDERERS

High-flying Bray Wanderers visit Cobh Ramblers on Friday evening as they look to continue their impressive start to the season.

The Seagulls are unbeaten under new boss Ian Ryan and sit just six points behind league leaders Galway United on 12.

But their trip to East Cork will provide them with another test as they look to continue their rise this campaign.

“We’re both tight together,” Ryan said this week. “We’ve both started really well and the table doesn’t really matter too much at this stage of the year.

“We’re looking to get three points and we’re more than capable of doing that.

“We’ve started really well but so have Cobh. It's a massive game for both of us. But we’re looking forward to it.”

Dave Webster, Darren Craven and Len O’Sullivan are all expected to miss out via injury.
