Draw made for 2023 FAI Cup Preliminary Round
The draw for the Preliminary Round of the 2023 FAI Cup has been made where top junior and intermediate sides will compete for a place in the First Round proper.
The tie of the round is an all-Dublin clash between Kilbarrack United and Drumcondra.
Lucan United, Gorey Rangers, Avondale United FC and Bangor Celtic have all received byes and they will now enter the competition in the First Round proper with the League of Ireland sides.
Ringmahon Rangers will also have a reunion with Killester Donnycarney three years after they played one another in the semi-finals of the FAI Intermediate Cup.
The Tipperary/Limerick sporting rivalry will take on a new dimension with St Michael’s AFC drawn against Ballynanty Rovers AFC.
Reigning FAI Intermediate Cup champions Rockmount will travel to Dublin to face Home Farm. The Mount are looking at going one better than last season as they were beaten in the Preliminary Round by Bluebell United.
Skerries Town, who will host Rockmount in the Intermediate Cup semi-finals this weekend, are set to entertain Clare side Newmarket Celtic.
