Stephen Kenny's son signs pro deal with Dundalk
Eoin Kenny, the son of Ireland boss Stephen, has signed his first professional deal with League of Ireland Premier Division outfit Dundalk.
Kenny, 17, has been on the books of the Lilywhite’s underage set-up since joining the club from Louth schoolboy side Rock Celtic.
He has also been called up to play for Ireland at Under-18 schools level in the past.
His association with Dundalk spans back as far as 2012 when his father Stephen took charge of the club.
And after penning his first professional deal with the club he said: “I’m delighted.
“I’ve been supporting Dundalk since I was six and it’s a massive honour for me to sign as a professional. I can’t wait to get started and show what I can do.
“Some of the lads like John Mountney, Andy Boyle and Patrick Hoban were here when I first started coming to Oriel Park and to be able to learn things from players like that is a real privilege.”
We are delighted to announce that Eoin Kenny has signed a professional contract with the club.
