Finn Harps sign Stockport County duo on loan
Finn Harps have announced the signing of Stockport County duo Daniel Okwute and Ellis Farrar on loan for the 2023 League of Ireland season.
“I am absolutely delighted to be bringing in Daniel & Ellis on a season long loan from Stockport County FC.
“Firstly I’d like to say a massive thank you to Manager Dave Challinor and Director Of Football Simon Wilson for entrusting us to bring two outstanding young talents to Finn Harps FC and provide them both with the platform and environment to gain first team football,” Harps manager Dave Rogers said, speaking to the club’s media team.
“Daniel is a powerful and physical striker who will bring his pace, energy and enthusiasm to our attacking play and also a potent threat with his movement and desire to score goals.
“Ellis is a left sided centre back who can also cover left back and he adds balance, physicality, composed in possession and robust out of possession and a player who attacks the ball well in both penalty areas.
“Both players had a real hunger to join us here at Finn Harps FC and be part of the new season and chapter we are embarking on and I have no doubts our fantastic harps supporters will get behind them from the start.”
Okwute makes his return to the League of Ireland having come through the ranks at Kerry FC before joining Stockport in September last year. He was joined top scorer in the League of Ireland under 19 league last year with 16 goals.
Farrar began his career with Guiseley before joining Stockport last summer, he recently signed his first professional deal with the League Two club.
