Charlie Fleming heads down under to North Geelong Warriors
Former Cobh Ramblers, Cork City and Treaty United right back Charlie Fleming is the latest player to leave the League of Ireland and sample football life in a new environment in Australia as he signs for North Geelong Warriors.
Fleming, who notched up 137 appearances across all competitions, joins two other ex-Cork City players who have also departed for Australia recently.
Uniss Kargbo joined Gwelup Croatia SC in November 2022 while more recently Dylan McGlade left Turner’s Cross after three seasons to link up with Hume City.
North Geelong Warriors FC, formerly known as North Geelong Croatia, was founded by Croatian immigrants in 1967. The club is based in the regional Victorian city of Geelong and play out of the 10,000 capacity Elcho Park stadium in the Lara region of Geelong
They are a semi-professional outfit and compete in the National Premier League (NPL) Victoria.
