Ireland international Molloy re-signs for Wexford ahead of new season

Wexford Youths have announced the re-signing of Republic of Ireland international Ellen Molloy ahead of the new season.
The 18 year old has been a key player for Youths since making her debut during the 2020 Women’s National League season, she’s scored 39 goals for the club and played a key role when they won the FAI Women’s Cup in 2021.
Molloy, who has six Republic of Ireland caps, scored 16 times last season before suffering a serious injury in the title run in. It will likely be several months before we see the talented midfielder take the field as she continues her recovery.
Wexford begin their Women’s Premier Division season away to Galway United on Saturday, 4 March.
