Kerry announce signing of Cormac Buckley and Cian Brosnan
Kerry FC manager Billy Dennehy has announced two more players to sign for the club ahead of the 2023 season with academy graduates Cormac Buckley and Cian Brosnan committing to the club.
These signings are familiar to the set up. Cormac Buckley is a versatile player who is capable of playing in defence or midfield. He previously lined out with Cobh Ramblers before moving to appear with Kerry FC in the under 19 league. Cian Brosnan is a right winger who has played with Kerry FC at the three different underage levels.
On the signings, Dennehy told the club’s website: “I’m happy Cian has the opportunity to play at senior League of Ireland level. He has the potential to do really well in the game. I will be very interested to see how he does at this level.
“Cormac joined us two years ago. Travelling from Macroom for every training session he has shown a great attitude to progress and with the training environment here, Cormac is another player with the potential to progress”
The club have stated that they expect to announce more members of the squad in due course. The club has their first league game in Munster derby with Cobh on Friday, 17 February.
