Treaty manager Tommy Barrett has announced the latest player to return for the club ahead of the 2023 season with the re-signing of Darren Collins.

The full-back arrived from Sligo mid-season and immediately made an impression with some solid displays. He will be looking to become more of a regular in the coming season on the right hand side.

The Mayo native spoke to the club’s website: “I can’t wait to be back in amongst the lads again for 2023. Hopefully I can kick on having a full year at it this time around. I really enjoyed the couple of months I had last year down in Limerick.”

The Limerick club have impressed many in their first two seasons as a league club. Tipped by many to struggle at this level, they have made the play-offs two years in a row.

They were just pipped to the post in a dramatic Semi-Final against Waterford last year. In addition, they also reached the FAI Cup Semi-Final where they were defeated by eventual winners Derry City. They will be looking to try and make that extra step this year.

The club have stated that they expect to announce more members of the squad in due course. Treaty begin their season with a home game against Bray on Friday, 17 February.
