Cork City sign forward Ethon Varian on loan
Cork City’s manager Colin Healy has announced his latest new signing ahead of the 2023 season – signing Ethon Varian on loan from Bohemians.
City had a successful season last year in which they won the First Division title and promotion back to the Premier Division.
And they have since added Varian to their ranks.
The 21-year-old Cork native played schoolboy football with Greenwood before joining Stoke City. He joined Bohemians last July and will now spend the 2023 season on loan at Cork City.
The striker gave his thoughts afterwards: “I am hoping to give City fans something to cheer about and, hopefully, we can create more great memories next season.
“The club has had some great times and we want to get Cork City back up there where the club should be.
“We want to make next season a successful one, and I am looking forward to playing my part in that.”
City boss Healy added: “I am very pleased to have him on board. He is a young, hungry player who wants to play games and improve, and he is also a Cork lad too.
“We are looking forward to working with him and helping him develop as a player.”
