DLR Waves confirm re-signing of four players
DLR Waves have announced their first four re-signings ahead of the 2023 Women’s National League season.
DLR finished fifth in last season’s table, 16 points shy of what turned to be enthralling four-team title race. Key to bridging that gap in 2023 will be the retention of three of their top four goal-scorers from last season.
Katie Mooney, with 12 league & cup goals, has committed to the DLR cause, alongside Katie Malone who netted 11 times in league and cup competition in 2022.
Also re-signed are midfielder Mia Dodd and goalkeeper Eve Badana.
As well as announcing these four players, DLR have also appointed last seasons’ U19 coach, Laura Heffernan, as assistant to manager Graham Kelly for 2023.
