John O'Sullivan completes move from Accrington Stanley to sign for Bohs
Bohemians have announced the signing of John O’Sullivan from Accrington Stanley.
O’Sullivan boasts an impressive CV with experience lining out in the Championship, League One, League Two, as well as the Scottish Premiership.
Having first moved over to England from Belvedere in 2009, O’Sullivan signed with Blackburn Rovers progressing through their academy before breaking through to their first team ranks in 2013.
Loan spells at Southport, Accrington Stanley, Barnsley, Rochdale, and Bury would follow before a permanent transfer to Carlisle United saw him make 35 appearances, scoring four goals.
A permanent spell at Accrington Stanley would begin in June 2021 before Keith Long secured his man.
Manager Keith Long is pleased to have secured someone of the midfielder’s quality.
“I believe John will be a fantastic addition to our squad.
“At 28, he is coming to us with over a decade behind him in Britain where he has consistently played at a high level in the EFL.
“He has played nearly 250 games in England and Scotland and that will obviously bring us vital experience that will help our team.
“It’s a new challenge for John at a good age and we are delighted to have him at the club.”
Meanwhile Bohs have also confirmed that Sam Packham and Ryan Cassidy have both returned to their parent clubs, Brighton and Watford respectively.
