Heary adds steal to Galway defence
Thomas Heary is the latest player to join Sean Connor's revolution at Galway United after he signed on for the 2010 season.
Having worked under Connor at both Bohemians and Dundalk, the experienced defender knows exactly what to expect from his new manager and didn't take long to agree terms.
With Garry Breen and Shane Guthrie plying their trade elsewhere, The Tribesmen will have a new-look defensive unit when the league campaign kicks off and Heary should be right at the heart of it.
The 31-year-old spent the early part of his career in England with Huddersfield Town before returning to Ireland, where he joined Bohemians and played his part in the league & cup double in 2008.
Last season, he followed Connor to Dundalk, where he was made club captain on arrival and helped The Lilywhites claim an impressive fifth-place finish.
Now, he will be hoping for similar success with Galway as he links up with Connor for the third time in his career.
