Sligo Rovers got their Premier Division campaign off to a perfect start with a 2-1 win over St Patrick’s Athletic on Friday night.

Goals from Colm Horgan and Aidan Keena gave the Bit O’Red a solid lead over the Saints despite a late fight back from the home side with Tunde Owolabi netting in the 82nd minute for Tim Clancy’s men.
