Hannah Walsh signs for Cork City
Cork City have announced the signing of Hannah Walsh ahead of the Women’s National League season.
The goalkeeper makes the move to the Rebels from Galway WFC where she began her career several years ago as part of the Tribeswomen’s academy.
Walsh was part of the squad that won the under 17 WNL league and cup double in 2019 and she captained the under 19 side that repeated that feat in 2021.
She made her senior debut for the Tribeswomen last season against eventual WNL champions Shelbourne at Eamonn Deacy Park in July.
Walsh will be in line to make her debut for Cork against her former club when the Rebels welcome Galway to Turners Cross on the opening day of the season on Saturday, 5 March (kick-off 5pm)
