Cobh Ramblers re-sign Darryl Walsh for 2022
Cobh Ramblers have announced that Darryl Walsh will stay at the club for the 2022 season.
The defender, who can play centre and left-back made 30 appearances for the Rams last season, as they finished in eight place.
The 21-year-old joined the Cork side from Waterford in January 2020 after making three appearances for the Blues.
In 2019 Walsh captained Waterford under-19’s to the league title before joining Wexford FC on a loan deal. He made seven starts at Ferrycarrig Park.
The Waterford native made his international debut for Colin O’Brien’s Republic of Ireland under-17’s. The defender also travelled to Croatia that year for the Under-17 European Championships and were eventually defeated by England at the quarter final stage. Walsh has also captained the country’s under-18 side.
