Shelbourne re-sign Alex Kavanagh for 2022.
Women’s National League Champions Shelbourne have announced the re-signing of midfielder Alex Kavanagh for the 2022 season.
The 22-year-old was promoted to the clubs senior side in 2016 and scored on her debut. Shelbourne won a league and cup double that season, and Kavanagh has been an ever present for the Dublin side since.
Kavanagh was named Women’s National League player of the month in March 2019 and was also names on that year’s team of the season.
The midfielder has also represented the Republic of Ireland at senior, under-19, under-17 and under-15. She made her senior debut in a friendly versus Wales in August 2016.
Shelbourne, who dramatically won last seasons league title on the final day, open their 2022 league campaign at home to Dublin rivals Bohemians on Saturday March 5th.
