Shels step up their squad building
Shelbourne have added three more players to their ranks with the capture of Ian Ryan, Ray Scully and Philip Gorman.
Manager Dermot Keely has kept busy during the off-season as he continues to re-shape his squad ahead of the 2010 campaign and the recruitment of this latest trio signals that everything is going to plan.
Having already made some notable signings in Paul Shiels, Robbie Clarke, Sean Byrne and Gareth Whelan, The Reds have now injected a little more experience to their set-up.
Ryan is the fourth player to arrive from Drogheda United this year as he follows the aforementioned Shiels and Clarke along with Steve Williams. He can operate anywhere across the backline, so he should prove to be a good signing.
Scully re-joins the club after spells with Kildare County, Dublin City, Dundalk and Waterford United. He will compete for a place in central midfield and hope to make the most of his return to Tolka Park.
Gorman is another former Red making his return after turning out for the likes of Kildare County, Kilkenny City and Dublin City. He provides another option up front for Keely, who now has a squad of 17 players.
