Keith Long turned to an old fan favourite with the signing of Kris Twardek. The ex-Millwall winger returns to the Dalymount Park outfit after shining during his previous spell at the club which culminated in his November 2020 departure to Polish outfit Jagiellonia Bia?ystok.

Long originally signed the Canadian wideman for Bohs ahead of the 2020 season after he had spent the previous 18 months at Sligo Rovers. Ironically, the 25 year old's first goal in the red and black came against his former employers in a 2-0 win for the Gypsies.

He also recorded three assists in the curtailed 2020 campaign- a brace against Shelbourne and a single v Waterford. In a strange coincidence, all three goal contributions came in two nil victories.

Twardek's signing was the fourth new signing for Bohemians for 2022- Treaty United Player of the Year goalkeeper Tadhg Ryan, ex Sheffield United defensive recruit Jordan Doherty and former Derry City forward Junior Ogedi Uzokwe all putting pen to paper in the past couple of weeks. Eleven of the squad from 2021 have also signed up with the club for next year's campaign.
