St Patrick's Athletic have signed midfielder Dave Mulcahy who played for Bray Wanderers last season in the Premier Division.

This will be Mulcahy's second spell at the club having played for St Pat's in the 2006 and 2007 seasons.

Saints manager Pete Mahon is delighted that the former Waterford United and Kilkenny City player is coming on board.

"He'll bring a lot of experience and some great leadership qualities and we'll be looking to Dave along with the likes of Damian Lynch and Stuart Byrne to help bring on some of the younger players in the side this season," said Mahon.

"We'd been chasing Dave for some time but it's worth it as I think he will be a great signing for us."

Mulcahy will soon be joining his former Bray team mates Paul Byrne and Gareth Coughlan in pre-season training at St Pat's.

"I think he himself is delighted to be back to Pat's, he always gave full commitment and I think he was well-liked by the fans for that," commented Mahon.

St Pat's are due to play Limerick FC in a pre-season friendly on Saturday 13th February at Richmond Park kick-off 7.45pm.
