Newly promoted Shelbourne have announced two more re-signings as they prepare for a return to the Premier Division with Shane Farrell and Stanley Anaebonam committing to the club for the 2022 season.

21 year old Farrell is entering his fifth year as a Red having come through the club’s academy and the attacking midfielder has played 81 times for Shels, scoring eleven times.

The midfielder was also part of the team that won the First Division in 2019.

“I’m really happy to sign for another year with this big club and to play in front of these amazing fans once again,” Farrell said, speaking to the club’s media team.

“The Club is back where it belongs and I hope to do my part in keeping the club there while also giving everything to help us keep on improving.”

Former Solihull Moors player Anaebonam arrived at Tolka Park towards the end of the 2021 season and made an impact on his debut for the club against Cabinteely with an assist on the night.

“I’m really excited to re-sign for Shels for next year,” the 22 year old said.

“Having spoken to the management and enjoyed being in the Club so far, I know it’s a really big year ahead.

“I got a small taste of the fan base towards the end of the last season and really looking forward to getting pre-season underway for our return to the Premier Division.”
